In the best traditions of football transfers, in the closing day of this period we are opening all cards and want to announce the full Dota 2 roster of Team Empire.
The fact that we have delayed the announcement is a compulsory measure, we had a problem that we tried to solve and we want to tell you all the details.
The 5th player of Team Empire becomes Andrei "The_apathy" Aleshkov. However, we are facing a problem that can't be solved.
Unfortunately, we can not declare The_apathy to Valve's Major tournament for Team Empire, since he previously accepted the invitation on dota2.com from his former team aSpera, which he had already left. Under the rules of Vavle, player who has accepted an invitation from a team remains locked behind this team until the end of the season. This rule applies only to major tournaments, in the remaining tournaments Andrei has a right to play for Team Empire.
We contacted Valve and explained the situation, but the rules are the same for everyone and in this case they can't do nothing.
There was no time to change anything, so the last few days we practiced and prepared for ESL One NY qualification with The_apathy and will continue to play with him.
This means that Team Empire in order to participate at Valve's first Major tournament with The_apathy must pass an open qualification for this tournament. This is an important and difficult decision that should be taken as a team when Resolut1on gets back. At the moment we are not saying that we will play the open qualification.
We also are pleased to introduce one more newcomer in our team. Team Empire's replacement player becomes Evgeny "Fervian" Aksenov, who has previously played for Yellow Submarine. At dota2.com he is stated for us as a base player, as according to the rules it's impossible for us to declare The_apathy.
So, here is Team Empire's current roster:
Resolut1on
Silent
ubah
ALOHADANCE
The_apathy
Fervian (replacement)
Subscribe to the Twitter accounts of our newcomers: @ferviandota and @the_apathy_dota, stay with us and everything will turn out!
Additionally we want to thank our stand-in General, who agreed to prepare with us for ESL One NY qualification and play it for Team Empire!
